Hmm... This space is empty- Oh, wait, nevermind. I'm a guy who plays far too much video games and spends far too much time on the internet for my or anyone else's own good.

"A very simple game"

submission: Snackalope
date: October 15, 2009

It's the basic launcher game, but both the art style and the music improve it somewhat.
The problem I have is that it's just too simple. There is nothing new or interesting added throughout the entire game, which is short as is. The only new element was the ice platforms, which is barely enough. If there were more interesting elements, like more power-ups etc., then I would have given it a higher score.
However, the splitting was fun, especially when you watch hundreds of rabbits rain down from the sky.

Overall, it's short and simple, but can definitely be built upon.

Thanks for the feedback. It's our first launcher game and we got most of the things we wanted in there. We are looking forward to doing another one though and you're right - upgrades would really improve it.

Connect: A Geometric Game

"Pretty decent"

date: February 12, 2009

It's a very good idea, but gets boring quick, and is quite easy.

To deal with the boredom, give the player something that keeps their attention, like music or a background. You won't believe how useful a simple background is to keep a player interested. For a game like this, relaxing music is a must, but if you can, find some music that speeds up around the 20-25 second mark, to basically say "Hurry up!". Or you can speed it up yourself.

Yes, it gets difficult by adding different colours and more points, but how about things they wouldn't expect, like moving points, or lines that are already there? It'll keep it challenging and entertaining, if executed correctly.

Overall, it's an interesting game and concept, if somewhat boring. I'll be glad if you take one of my points into consideration if you plan on making a second.

TV SUCKS

"Bwahaha!"

I found this to be hilarious, well drawn, AND have pretty good music!
I can't really find any criticism for your movie, except maybe a little bit of timing issues, but totally not worth the time effort of writing.
Yep, you've got a brilliant movie here, mate.

Author's Response:

I noticed the timing issues too. I find it's easier to time things out with a fps of 30.
I don't even bother with 12 fps anymore.
Thanx Mikey
